Was in a brief but blissful
dream
Noises from the busy bridge
Awoke me to reality
There you stood with a
pleasant grin
To bless my day with food and
drink
For giving this famished face
a smile
You will always be my Valentine
As you walked along a lonely
road
You saw me shivering in the
cold
There was no other place to go
For a pauper, widowed and old
You stopped by with your heart
of gold
Covered me with your furry
coat
For the spice you added to my
life
You will always be my
Valentine
Be it a legend or a lie
That a certain saint for love
did die
Nothing compares to the joy
derived
From little deeds of sacrifice
Whether or not you have a wife
Or a man to look into your
eyes
Love is the balm that our
world craves
Be someone's Valentine each
day
